Nykesha Scales
Senior Provider Relations Representative, CGS Administrators, LLC

Nykesha has worked with the Medicare Program for 18 years, with the majority of her years of service spent in the Provider Outreach & Education Department.  During her tenure with CGS, Nykesha has also served as a Congressional Liaison, Tier II Customer Service Representative and a Compliance Analyst.  Nykesha received her M.B.A from Liberty University, as well as a bachelor’s in Business Management from Guilford College with concentrations in Organizational Communication and Human Resources.  Ms. Scales’ primary responsibilities include conducting training through in-person, teleconference and webinar events.  Her primary focus is developing and delivering educational programs and learning tools to assist Medicare-certified home health and hospice providers.

Cari Atkinson, RN
Senior Provider Education Consultant, CGS Administrators, LLC

Cari started with CGS in 2017 as a Home Health & Hospice Appeals Analyst and Subject Matter Expert. In March of 2020, accepted the position of Senior Provider Education Consultant in the Provider Outreach & Education Department. She began working with the Medicare Program in 2016 when she worked for Palmetto GBA as a Medical Claims Reviewer and Quality Assurance Coordinator for the home health pre-claim review project. Cari is currently a Master’s in Healthcare Administration candidate at University of Southern California’s Sol Price School of Public Policy and will complete her degree in May 2021. She also holds her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Penn State University and her Associate Degree in Nursing from Harrisburg Area Community College in Pennsylvania.  She has worked as a registered nurse for almost sixteen years in various roles, with most of her experience in the operating room. Ms. Atkinson has also worked as a chemotherapy nurse and as well as spending some time in Women’s Health/Antepartum nursing. Cari’s primary responsibilities include offering training to home health and hospice providers through telephone conferences, webinars, and will soon be offering in-person training. She also reviews the monthly data from the C2C Part A Telephone Demonstration and authors the monthly newsletter associated with that demonstration. Her focus is to make available the knowledge and tools to best serve Medicare home health and hospice providers. She is currently a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Overview:

The purpose of this session is to keep hospice agencies informed of Medicare updates and the latest regulations impacting their billing and clinical practices.  Participants will also engage in top billing errors and resolutions discussion and receive reminders concerning available resources and self-service tools offered by CGS.

  • Increased awareness of Medicare changes and regulations
  • Reduction of Claim Submission Errors
  • Improved navigation of the CGS website
  • Utilization of CGS resources to help solve everyday issues

Webinar Information:

This webinar is $110 for members and $130 for non-members.
Please use your Medicare ID number for your membership number.
There will be a $10 fee for Nurses or Social Worker CE’s.
Registrants will receive the Zoom link and call in information after registering.
This is an intermediate level course.
