Outcomes:
The overall objective for attendees is education in   hospice regulations, levels or care, as well as nursing home requirements and regulations. Attendees will learn how to develop a thorough hospice psychosocial assessment, identify short term therapeutic interventions and how to develop a social work plan of care in the hospice setting. Instructors will explain the team concept in the hospice setting and the role of the social worker, as well as describe a normal grief process. Speakers will explore documentation and identify areas of stress and develop a plan of care for our own well being. This is a basic course for the beginning social worker with less than two years experience.
*This training includes a take home reference manual for each attendee to use as a resource.*

The cost for this seminar is $150.00 for members & $175.00 for non-members.
A $25 late fee will apply after April 23rd, 2017.
There are no refunds, however substitutions are welcome.
Lunch will be provided with this seminar.

Missouri Hospice & Palliative Care Association, #1359, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Missouri Hospice & Palliative Care Association maintains responsibility for the program.  ASWB Approval Period: 2/28/17 – 2/28/20. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval for continuing education credits.  Social workers participating in this course will receive __7.5_ continuing education clock hours.
