Outcomes:
At the end of this seminar learners will be able to:

  • Identify VA Claims/Compensation/Benefits/Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC)/Burial Grant/Widow’s Pension
  • Identify suicide screening & assessment tools, research on these screening & assessment tools and identify aspects of effective safety planning.
  • Differentiate between qualitative and biomedical futility, know the ethical role of health care professional with regard to end of life decision making, apply a sense making framework to optimize resolution of ethical conflicts seen in practice and demonstrates ability to guide goals of care conversation   focused on matching treatment offered with medical effectiveness.

The cost for this seminar is $200.00 for members & $250.00 for non-members.
There are no refunds,  however substitutions are welcome.
This seminar provides 6 Social Worker Contact hours.
Upon completion of this course each attendee will be required to  complete an evaluation. Each participant will then receive a certificate. Each attendee must complete the entire course to receive CE credits. Certificates will be distributed to attendees upon signing out of the seminar.
