Judy Connelly, BSN, MSN, SPHR, Senior Manager-Simione   Healthcare Consultants  

A registered nurse since 1984, Judy joined Simione Healthcare Consultants in 2019 to support Clinical Operations Consulting. The Pennsylvania resident brings more than 25 years of progressive hospice and home health leadership experience to support providers in achieving clinical excellence and financial growth. She has extensive experience in multi-site operations, process improvement, talent management, clinical quality, strategic planning, change management and value-based practice. Judy previously served as executive director of Good  Samaritan Hospice of Pittsburgh from 2015-19. She led hospice and home health operations for Visiting Nurses Association of Western PA between 1993-2014, where she was instrumental in achieving strong organizational growth, expanding efforts in palliative care, inpatient care, private duty, home technology and other support services. A board member of the PA Hospice and Palliative Care     Network Board of Directors (Treasurer) and Community Health Clinic of Butler County, she also has served on the education committee of the    National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO). A graduate of Boston College (BSN) and the University of Pittsburgh (MSN), Judy has earned professional certifications and designations in hospice compliance, palliative care, human resources, and leadership and management.

Outcomes:
Participants will:

  • Gain applicable knowledge related to various leadership practices for present Team challenges and leveraging for the years ahead.
  • Understand the implications of Human Resource methods used to acquire and retain strong team members.
  • Identify methods of streamlining operations to improve customer service, satisfaction and growth.
  • Discover strategies to facilitate efficient and effective processes while removing barriers to change.
  • Recognize importance of self-care as leaders in turbulent times.

The cost for this seminar is $135.00 for members & $175.00 for non-members.
Late fee of $25 after Jan. 21, 2020 and a 50 seat limit.
Nurses CE’s & SW CE’s will be an extra $25.00.
Lunch is not provided with this seminar. (The brochure that has been mailed says lunch is provided. That is a typing error. Lunch will not be provided.)
There are no refunds, however substitutions are welcome.
This seminar provides 4 Nursing Contact hours.
This seminar provides 4 SW Contact hours.

Upon completion of this course each attendee will be required to complete an evaluation. Each participant will then receive a certificate. Each attendee must complete the entire course to receive CE credits. Certificates will be distributed to attendees upon signing out of the seminar.
