Objectives: 

Diversity is a hot topic in the healthcare industry.  Whether you’re a professional provider of care, a patient, or a family/friend taking care of your loved one, we are all desiring to be treated with the same dignity and respect that is has been historically part of our mantra, yet in many cases, denied because of personal or organizational bias.  Even as healthcare chaplains (specifically hospice and palliative care spiritual counselors), we have a certain set of values to bring to our patients and their families.  This training is for the chaplain who desires to keep their spiritual care blending into society.

In this training, you will discover current research that focuses on care in the midst of differences, learn the art of “care-fronting” vs. confronting, discern commonalities while in ministry, and put into practice helpful tips to avoid cultural and chaplaincy discrepancies when working with people.  During our training you will also hear from faith groups and non-faith community leaders-sharing openly about their organization’s values on death, loss, grief, and bereavement.  You wont want to miss this educational and engaging training on April 6.

The cost for this seminar is $150.00 for members & $175.00 for non-members.
Seminary student rate is $100.00.
Late fee of $25.00 after March 15, 2018.
There are no refunds, however substitutions are welcome.
