Objectives:
This Bereavement Seminar is designed to explore various aspects of loss, grief, bereavement and mourning.  It will describe the different types of grief as well as physical, emotional, behavioral/cognitive, social and spiritual symptoms of grief.  It also will  assist in identifying strategies to help people who are grieving as it reviews components to comprehensive assessment, various models of  grief, and necessary skills for working with bereavement clients.  Finally, a general overview of guidelines and services that are typically offered will be discussed and will highlight valuable resources that will assist with providing a successful bereavement program.

The cost for this seminar is $150.00 for members & $175.00 for non-members.
Late fee of $25 after March 22nd.
There are no refunds, however substitutions are welcome.
Lunch will be provided with this seminar.
This seminar provides 6.5 Nursing CE hours.
This seminar provides 6.5 Social Worker CE hours.

Missouri Hospice & Palliative Care Association, #1359, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Missouri Hospice & Palliative Care Association maintains responsibility for the program.  ASWB Approval Period: 2/28/17 – 2/28/20. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval for continuing education credits.  Social workers participating in this course will receive __6_ continuing education clock hours.
