Missouri Hospice & Palliative Care Receives Grant for Prison Hospice Program
Jefferson City, MO– The Missouri Hospice & Palliative Care Association is pleased to announce the organization has received a grant from Hospice Foundation of the Ozarks for a Prison Hospice Training at South Central Correctional Center – SCCC in Licking Missouri. South Central Correctional Center is located in Texas County and is part of the Ozarks.
The MHPCA Prison Hospice Program held its first Prison Hospice Training in May of 2015. Since that time they have held eleven trainings throughout the Missouri Prison System. Trainers are volunteer hospice staff from all across the state of Missouri.
